Backup your E71/Symbian phone contacts using Google Sync!
What if suddenly your lovely handset could not power up, or being stolen. Besides losing probably one of your important assets (you always carry it right?!), you could also lose the content of it, including the phonebook. Surely, you cannot afford to lose all contacts in your handset right, especially if you're super-busy businessman :D
There are some ways to backup your phonebook:
1. Copy all of them to simcard. This way has limitation : Simcard capacity sometime is not enough (probably only can save up to 250/500 entries). Moreover, if you lose the simcard, you will also lose the backup
2. Use your phone PC Suite to synchronize phonebook. This is probably the most common way that people use
Another way to backup your phonebook is using telecommunication operator services. The service will be based on SyncML specification. For instance, in Indonesia, Telkomsel's subscriber can use Telkomsel Pelindung Dataku. It's very to easy to setup and use. But there will be a charge for the service.
Finally, other alternative is to use Google Sync to backup your phonebook! It's also very easy to set-up and use, and of course free of charge (you'll only be charged for every kb data transfered, depend on your telecommunication operator policy, and the kind of data service you use). For E71 user (and other Symbian 9.x user), here are the step to do it:
1. Make sure you already have Google account. Also make sure that your handset and operator already support data services (GPRS/3G/HSDPA)
2. In your handset, select Tools -> Sync
3. Select new sync profile, and enter corresponding details
Sync Profile Name = Google
Applications = Contacts (include in sync = yes, remote database = contacts, synchronization type = Both ways). Make sure you choose only contacts as google for now only support this PIM
Connection Settings
Server Version = 1.2
Server ID = Google
Data Bearer = Internet
Access Point = Choose your APN here
Host Address = https://m.google.com/syncml
Port = 443
Username = Your google email. For instance, anu@gmail.com
Password = Your google account password
After you set above items correctly, then you will be able to sync your phonebook!! You can see your phonebook in Google Contact Manager after a succesful synchronization
NB:
It will be very nice if later on Google support all kind of PIM that can be synchronized. For instance, the calendar and tasks with Google Calendar :)

Always Reds
Pas Riise nyetak gol bunuh diri menit 95' pas Leg 1 Semifinal CL Liverpool vs Chelsea kmrn, gw langsung merasa bahwa abis sudah langkah Liverpool di CL musim ini. Liverpool outplayed Chelsea sepanjang pertandingan, but somehow Chelsea bisa menyamakan kedudukan! Dgn cara yg menyakitkan lagi.
Sejak itu gw dah yakin banget bahwa the luck will turn out against us next week. Sebelumnya gw ga pernah sepesimis ini, dan ga pernah punya feeling sekuat ini.
Gol bunuh diri itu begitu menyakitkan, sehingga aku memutuskan untuk tidak menonton Leg 2 di Stamford Bridge [takut hal menyakitkan terulang lagi]. Pada akhirnya, sama sempat menonton Babak I Leg I tadi malam, dan Liverpool mainnya jelek banget! Akhirnya saya memutuskan untuk tidur saja, karena subuhnya mesti berangkat ke Bandung. Saya setel alarm jam 04.30.

04:30!! Alarm berbunyi, dan saya segera ambil HP untuk ngecek livescore.com. Tnyata ada 4 SMS baru. Wah, bisa jadi kabar buruk/gembira nih. Akhirnya krn penasaran, saya langsung baca saja SMS satu per satu ....

Glek ... awalnya gw cuma baca yg bagian awal Message aja. tapi aneh juga rasanya si Maxwell ngasi selamat, secara dia anti Liverpool. Dan bener tnyata ...... :(((((
Pilihanku untuk tidak menonton sisa pertandingan sangat tepat, karena tnyata pertandingan harus diselesaikan dalam extratime!!!! beuh, kebayang aja kalo nonton kali, trus kalah. bakal bener2 menyakitkan. kasian ni jantung, dah cukup diuji pas lawan Arsenal di quarter final
Tapi di sisi lain, saya merasa 'bersalah' juga tidak menontonnya. Karena tnyata Liverpool bisa berjuang membalas, dan sempat menyamakan kedudukan lewat Torres. Tapi apa daya, gol bunuh diri Riise dan cederanya Skrtel bener2 memupus harapan Liverpool. Terlebih lagi, ini pertama kalinya saya 'menyengajakan tidak menonton' Liverpool, kemungkinan karena feeling saya yg udah ga enak sejak minggu kmrn.
Anyway, salut buat pemain, pelatih dan suporter the Reds. Mereka menerima lapang dada kekalahan ini, beda sama GOONERS dan SCUM.
Ketika Rafa di interview sehabis pertandingan, ditanyakan masalah penalty appeal ketika Hyypia di langgar Ballack pas injury time. Rafa menjawab: Itu hanya bagian kecil dari pertandingan yang tidak bisa kita rubah lagi. Pertanyaan berikut??
Rafa secara sportif mengakui kekalahannya, padahal jika dilihat tanyangan ulangnya, jelas Ballack menjegal Hyypia sebagaimana Hyypia menjegal Ballack ketika Chelsea mendapat penalty. Beda sama AW dan SAF.
Salut juga buat Lampard, atas keberaniannya mengeksekusi penalty setelah kehilangan Ibu-nya. He kept his nerve to cooly convert the penalty.

Google Browser Sync
Ternyata yang kucari-cari selama ini udah dibikin sama google, bahkan sejak 2006 yg lalu lagi :">
Jadi ceritanya, saya membutuhkan aplikasi sync untuk sinkronisasi data-data browser di komputer saya di kantor, dan laptop di kos. Data-data yang bisa disinkronisasi itu antara lain: bookmark, cookie, history, saved passwords dan tabs. Jadi dengan kata lain, misalnya saya bookmark suatu halaman web ketika saya lagi browsing di kantor, maka bookmark tersebut juga bakal muncul di browser saya di laptop di kos.
Data-data tersebut nanti akan disimpan di server google, jadi anda harus punya account google terlebih dahulu. Supaya lebih secure, juga ada opsi untuk mengenkripsi data-data yang sensitif, seperti cookie.Jadi ceritanya, saya membutuhkan aplikasi sync untuk sinkronisasi data-data browser di komputer saya di kantor, dan laptop di kos. Farewell to you
Tertimpa musibah pada tanggal 14 Maret 2008 yang lalu sudah cukup membuatku sedih, tetapi ternyata berpisah dengan seorang sahabat, ternyata lebih membuatku sedih.
Pada hari ini, 22 Maret 2008 ... perpisahan itu ...
Tidak hanya seorang sahabat, tetapi dia sudah seperti saudara sendiri bagiku, bahkan oleh keluarga besarku dia telah dianggap saudara sendiri. Ternyata waktu lebih dari 11 tahun yang telah kita lalui, begitu cepat berlalu tidak berasa. Memang sudah takdir dari-Nya yang menentukan untuk sementara kita mesti berpisah, sampai waktu yang kita sendiri tidak bakal pernah tahu.
